Dr. Brittany Motley, PhD

Bio
Dr Brittany Motley currently serves as the Director of Research and Evaluation at Year Up, where she manages External Research Partnerships to strengthen Year Up’s operations and to enhance the workforce development sector. Before joining Year Up in early 2023, Brittany served as the Principal Consultant for Moon Shot for Equity at the Education Advisory Board (EAB), focusing on closing equity gaps in higher education through strategic partnerships and student success best practices. Prior to working at EAB, Brittany served as the Executive Director for Student Success at Kentucky State University and the Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs at Wilberforce University. During this time, she oversaw all academic support services at both Universities and was tasked to increase retention and enrollment rates for first-time freshmen students.
Motivated by a deep commitment to social justice, Brittany is an experienced thought partner in change management, ethical use of student data and preventing identity threat for special populations, and leadership theory and its impact on organizational structures. Nothing excites her passion more than creating equitable opportunities for minoritized populations.
Brittany holds a bachelor’s degree in Pure Mathematics, an MBA, and an MS in Computer Science from Kentucky State University, and a PhD in Leadership and Change from Antioch University.
